Wind Turbine Amenity Special Purpose Committee - Resolutions - November 6, 2025

• Recommendation:

  That South Huron Council receives the Wind Turbine Amenity Special Purpose Committee's recommendations as follows:

  • $25,000 to the Sunset Community Foundation for the South Huron Vitality Fund, be funded from the Wind Turbine Amenity Fee
  • Centralia Pavilion Project ($27,475) be funded from the Wind Turbine Amenity Fee; 
  • Stephen Arena Floor Replacement project ($178,080) be funded from the Wind Turbine Amenity Fee; and
  • $300,000 from the Wind Turbine Amenity Fee be put towards the Dashwood Fire Hall Replacement project to lower the required debt financing.

  That Council recommends the Mayor include the above noted recommendations into the 2026 proposed budget.
