  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council approves the Agenda as presented.

  • Recommendation:

    That the minutes of the following committees and/or boards be received as presented to Council:

     

    • Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority - July 14, 2022 Agenda Package
    • Grand Bend Area Joint Sewage Board - July 28, 2022 Agenda Package
    • Committee of Adjustment - August 22, 2022 draft Minutes

State of the Road Infrastructure

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council set a Committee of the Whole meeting for September 12, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council set a Special Meeting to hold a Joint Council meeting with the Municipality of Perth South on September 26, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre; and

    That invitations be sent to Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre Board and Pool Committee to attend the meeting as delegates.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives that report from Craig Metzger, Senior Planner re Application for Deeming DB01-2022; and 

    That the corresponding by-law under Section 50(4) of the Planning Act to deem Lots 67-69, Plan 125 not a plan of subdivision be approved and that the by-law be registered on title.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the report from Stacey Jeffery, Community Development Officer; and

    That South Huron Council approve the proposed location(s) at 322 and 320 Main Street for the mural installation, as identified in Appendix A; and

    That South Huron Council authorize the Mural Selection Sub-Committee Members to engage the public to identify the preferred concept received by the artists; and

    That South Huron Council authorize the Mural Selection Sub-Committee to approve the artist and final design using an evaluation criteria.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the report of Justin Finkbeiner, Human Resources Officer regarding Committee Selection; and

    That South Huron Council approve the appointment of two (2) members of the Centralia Community at large as follows to the Centralia Community Park Amenities Advisory Committee : Lori Crawford and Laurel Firth.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the report of Alex Wolfe, Deputy Clerk re Special Event Application – Kirkton Fall Fair 2022; and

    That South Huron Council approve the Special Event Permit – Kirkton Fall Fair 2022 in principle; and

    That South Huron Council approves an exemption to the Noise By-Law 36-2004 on Friday, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th to 1:00 a.m. for the Fireworks and Tractor Pull events.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the report of Rebekah Msuya-Collison, General Manager of Corporate Services re Appoint Drainage Engineer under Section 78 of the Drainage Act for the Kints-Knight Municipal Drain; and

    That South Huron Council hereby appoints William J. Dietrich, P. Eng., of Dietrich Engineering Ltd. as the Municipal Engineer to prepare a report for the repair and improvement of the Kints-Knight Municipal Drain.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the memo from Rebekah Msuya-Collison, General Manager of Corporate Services/Clerk re: Municipal Election 2022 Restricted Acts of Council (“Lame Duck” period) Update, for information purposes.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receive the report of Rebekah Msuya-Collison, General Manager of Corporate Services and Alex Wolfe, Deputy Clerk re: “Procedural By-Law Review” for information; and

    That Council approve the review process and draft consolidated Procedural By-Law, in principle.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the memo from D. Best, Chief Administrative Officer re: Pickering Municipal Drain 2022 Update; and

    That South Huron Council terminate the Drainage Act proceeding and repeal By-Law #40-2022; and

    That should the Applicant make another application under Section 78(5) of the Drainage Act, that Council suspends Procurement By-law 09-2021 as theProperty Owner is responsible for 100% of the costs associated with the work.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council receives the report from Rebekah Msuya-Collison, General Manager of Corporate Services re: Pickering Municipal Drain 2022 Tender; and

    That South Huron Council terminate the Drainage Act proceeding and repeal By-Law # 40-2022.

  • Recommendation:

    That the South Huron Council gives first, second and third and final reading to By-Law #53-2022, being a By-law to repeal By-Law 40-2022 to provide for a drainage works for the Pickering Municipal Drain 2022 in the Municipality of South Huron in the County of Huron.

  • Recommendation:

    That the South Huron Council gives first, second and third and final reading to By-Law #57-2022, being a by-law to Establish a Joint Municipal Election Compliance Audit Committee and to appoint Members to that Committee.

  • Recommendation:

    That the South Huron Council gives first, second and third and final reading to By-Law #58-2022, being a By-law to deem Lots 67-69 of Plan 125 not to be part of a registered plan of subdivision.

  • Recommendation:

    That the South Huron Council gives first, second and third and final reading to By-Law #59-2022, being a by-law to confirm matters addressed at the September 6, 2022 Public and Regular Council meeting.

  • Recommendation:

    That South Huron Council hereby adjourns at ______ p.m., to meet again on September 19, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. or at the Call of the Chair.
